what we collect

When you join, we store the phone number or email you provide, signup time, your confirmation that you’re 18 or older, and your permission for one launch notification. We also store a hash of your private removal code.

what it’s for

Your contact is used to let you know when Runa launches. Signing up doesn’t create a Runa product account or start a subscription. We don’t ask for birth details, chat messages or payment information on this website. We don’t sell the waitlist or use it for advertising.

where it’s stored

The hosted website and its separate waitlist database use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. A local preview uses a separate database on the development computer. Runa’s waitlist is separate from Hey Twin’s waitlist and product data.

the Red Thread quiz

The quiz is available without joining the waitlist. Your choices stay on your browser while you complete it. When you finish, the server calculates your result and stores your archetype, a ranked list of the possible roles your choices suggest, completion time and an optional first name. We do not store your individual answers on the server or send them to an AI provider. We record the quiz version, a broad entry channel and an anonymous reference to the invitation that brought a new person in, to understand which sharing paths work. These are not linked to waitlist contacts or sent to Google Analytics.

An essential, private browser cookie recognizes your result and your place in a circle. Local browser storage remembers unfinished answers and the memories you have revealed. These are separate from optional analytics. A shared circle link lets anyone holding it see its members’ names, archetypes and shared stories. Use only a name you are comfortable sharing; a first name is optional. The link does not grant permission to edit or remove another person’s result, and contains no private browser credential.

Your result and essential cookie expire 90 days after you last complete a quiz or join or create a circle. Each circle expires 90 days after creation. Expired records are cleared in small batches as the quiz is used. You can remove your result and all your circle memberships from “remove my quiz data” on your result page in the same browser. This also clears your saved quiz progress. Your friends keep their own results. If you lose that browser, contact us for help; there is no quiz account or email recovery.

We keep daily aggregate counts of completed quizzes, new circles, friend joins and waitlist signups arriving from the quiz. These counts contain no names, individual answers, contacts, circle IDs or browser identifiers. Waitlist contacts are not linked to quiz profiles. Sharing opens your own device’s share sheet; Runa does not send messages to your friends.

abuse prevention and website data

We use a temporary, hourly hash of the connecting IP address to limit form submissions. The form’s rate-limit records expire after the hour; expired entries are cleared when the form is used again. Our application does not store raw IP addresses. Hosting providers may process request and security logs to operate the service. The hosting service also uses bot-protection code and security cookies to keep the website available and prevent automated abuse.

optional website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, broad traffic sources, waitlist-button clicks and completed registrations on the public marketing and signup pages. Google may process browser and device information, a cookie identifier and your IP address to provide these reports. Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses.

We send registered page paths and fixed event names. We do not send your phone number, email, birth details, form contents, removal code, URL query strings or fragments. Quiz circle URLs are reported only as the generic quiz page; names, results, circle IDs and browser credentials are excluded. A fixed quiz-source label can accompany a signup event. Referrers are limited to recognized source domains or registered pages on our site. We do not use advertising personalization, Google Signals, user-provided data, session recordings or cross-product identity tracking. Registration management and artwork-preview pages are excluded from analytics.

Analytics cookies are enabled by default for U.S. visits only when our hosting service reliably provides that region. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and unknown locations, we ask before loading Google. Other regions default off and can opt in through “cookie settings” in the footer. A saved decline, Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables collection. Analytics is optional and does not affect joining the waitlist.

You can change your choice using “cookie settings.” Your choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies expire after 90 days without extension; declining clears them and stops collection. Event-level retention in Google Analytics is set to two months; aggregate reports may remain longer. See Google’s privacy policyand its data controls.

removing your registration

Keep the private removal code shown after signup. Enter it on manage your registration to delete your waitlist details. Until you remove them, we retain your registration to send the launch notification. We’ll update this notice before using waitlist information for a different purpose.

notifications

Joining does not send a text or email immediately. Your permission is for one launch notification through the channel you choose. A launch text will include an opt-out instruction. Numbers and emails entered here are not verified for ownership or deliverability.

the future Runa experience

Birth charts, personal conversations and group sharing will have their own product privacy information when the line opens. The conversations on this landing page are illustrative and use fictional people and calculated example astrology.
